Mr. Wonka was talking about square candies that look round in this chapter! He was using the words 'looking round' in a different way than we expected. We call that a 'play on words'. Can you think of another example of a play on words?

Chapters 1-5

We have just begun the story of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and are enjoying it very much! For the first few chapters we have been discussing and using the comprehension strategy of Questioning from the book, 7 Keys to Comprehension, by Cris Tovani. We are now ready to put this practice to use by combining it with technology in the form of a blog! This is our first attempt - how do you like it so far?
